Officials Identify Man Who Died After Falling From Billboard Off I-15

SANDY, Utah – A man died after falling 40 feet while working on a billboard in Salt Lake County.

Sandy Police identified him as John Bytendorp, 66.

The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. Thursday near 9931 South 300 West in Sandy.

Officials with the Sandy City Police Department said there was another person working on the billboard with Bytendorp and several on the ground when he fell.

The billboard was between Interstate 15 and 300 West. Several people witnessed the man fall.
