Provo Police Holding Benefit Concert To Send Wife Of Fallen Officer To Washington, D.C.

PROVO, Utah – The Provo Police Department is working to get its officers – as well as the wife late Master Officer Joseph Shinners – to Washington, D.C., for National Police Week.
The department is hosting a benefit concert Thursday and Friday to raise funds to get the Shinners family and PPD officers to the nation’s capitol, where Shinner’s name will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
Officials said shortly after Shinners was killed in the line of duty, his wife, Kaylyn, found out she was pregnant and had just had the couple’s second child.
The concert will at 7:30 p.m. at The Covey Center for the Arts, 425 W. Center St. Click here for tickets and information.
