SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – One person wanted on multiple felony warrants was taken into custody after a pursuit near 600 North and Interstate 15, according to Lieutenant Jennifer Diederich with the Salt Lake City Police Department.

Diederich said the suspect was located and bitten by a K-9 officer. He will be booked into jail after receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.

Police said the man fled officers in a car before leaving the vehicle on the I-15 on-ramp at 600 North.

Officers set up containment and began searching for the man along the interstate and in a nearby storage unit complex before the K-9 officer located and subdued him.
