One dead, two injured in Spanish Fork Canyon crash

SPANISH FORK, Utah — One person was killed and two were injured in a car vs. semi-truck crash that temporarily closed both directions of U.S. Highway 6 near the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Troopers said crash happened around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday near milepost 181, which is 5 miles from the mouth of the canyon.
The two people who were injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to troopers.
No cause for the crash has been given and the Utah Department of Transportation said drivers should expect serious delays in the area.
Emergency crews reopened one lane around 10 a.m. and were alternating traffic through the crash area.
