Police identify driver who died following South Salt Lake crash
SOUTH SALT LAKE — The name of the man who died Thursday following a two-car crash in South Salt Lake has been released.
Police identified him Friday as 34-year-old Ivan Ortiz.
Ortiz and the other driver involved, a woman, were taken to the hospital in critical condition after they collided at 700 East and 3300 South around 3 p.m.
Unfortunately, the man died from his injuries.
Police say the unidentified woman is still in critical condition and that the crash remains under investigation.
