Man dead after industrial incident in Tooele County

GRANTSVILLE, Utah — A 61-year-old man from California has died after authorities say a boiler exploded at a plant in Tooele County.
The incident happened at US Magnesium, located at 12819 North Skull Valley Road in Grantsville, on Saturday.
Officials with the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office said Robert Self, a contractor from Livermore, California, was working on a trailer-mounted boiler when it exploded.
The 61-year-old died as a result of the explosion.
Authorities say the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Robert Self family,” read the agency’s Facebook post.
