Woman rescued, taken to hospital after suffering injury while hiking in Davis County

CENTERVILLE, Utah — A woman in her 40s was rescued Thursday after authorities say she suffered a potential leg fracture while hiking the Deuel Creek trailhead in Centerville.
“Good Samaritan’s were able to hike down and call for help,” a tweet from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Stephanie Dinsmore with the Davis County Sheriff’s Office told KSL that search and rescue crews were called out at 10:23 a.m.
They were able to locate the injured woman and hoist her out with the assistance of LifeFlight and South Davis Metro Fire.

Authorities said she was then transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
“She was rescued quickly due to accurate information given to dispatch,” the agency’s tweet stated.
