Two children seriously injured in South Jordan auto-pedestrian crash

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — Police say two children have been hospitalized after they were struck by a black SUV while riding bicycles.
Sgt. Eric Anderson with the South Jordan Police Department said the crash happened at the intersection of 2200 West and 11400 South just before noon Wednesday.
Anderson said the person who called 911 reported the children were unconscious and had lacerations on their bodies.
Both children were taken to Primary Children’s Hospital — one by ground ambulance and another by medical helicopter.
Police have not identified the victims but estimated they are between 6 and 12 years old.
A crash accident reconstruction team was called out to the scene, and the crash is under investigation.
We don’t know the condition of the victims but we know a medical helicopter responded to the scene. #ksltv pic.twitter.com/03Eh6CU1vl
