One lane closed on US-40 near Daniels Summit due to semi rollover

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — The far right lane on U.S. Highway 40 is closed near Daniels Summit due to a semi-truck rollover.

The crash happened at mile post 33 at approximately 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said a semi-truck hauling hay was traveling westbound on U.S. 40 when it tried to pass another vehicle in the left lane. It was coming downhill, lost control in a curve and rolled on its side.

The far right lane is blocked while crews try to clear the scene.

Roden said the driver was not injured and there were no other vehicles involved.
