WEST JORDAN, Utah — A 27-year-old Sandy man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Saunders with the West Jordan Police Department said the car was traveling northbound on 5600 West when it crashed near 6300 South just after 3 a.m.
Saunders said the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation but Saunders said it appears speed was a factor in the crash.
“Please slow down,” he said. “Open up your following distance, and if you decide to drink and drive, please call for a ride.”
There is a big accident being investigated at 7:06 a.m. in West Jordan. UDOT says closures at 5600 W 6400 S extend for a couple of blocks to keep traffic away.
