TOOELE COUNTY, Utah — One person has serious injuries after a crash caused a trailer to flip and strike another vehicle Sunday afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Chris Bishop told KSL TV the crash happened at state Route 36 milepost 19 at approximately 2:19 p.m.
The first vehicle struck a trailer causing the trailer to flip over and spin out, hitting an oncoming vehicle.
Bishop said everyone had minor injuries besides the first vehicle’s driver, who was trapped in the car and had to be extracted. The driver had serious injuries and was sent to the hospital by air ambulance.
Both lanes are closed in the area with no estimate on when they will reopen.
