SANDY, Utah – Jordan High School has been cleared after a thorough search by law enforcement. Students and faculty at Jordan High School had been evacuated after reports of a bomb threat.
Everyone from the school was reported safe. The evacuation was lifted just before 4 p.m, two hours after police responded to the scene.
Two events scheduled for the school have been relocated. The All-State Orchestra event has been moved to Corner Canyon High School, and the girls basketball game was moved to Cottonwood High School.

Details of the specifics or credibility of the threat were not available, but officials with the Canyons School District said law enforcement evacuated the building as a precautionary measure.
School buses were sent to the school to give students a warm place to wait for police to conduct their investigation.

Parents were initially asked not to respond to the school “until further notice” to give police the support they needed to investigate. Students and families were being reunified after 3 p.m., with details distributed over the school’s phone and email system.
Students with vehicles in the parking lot or who left their backpacks or other items at the school will be allowed back into the school after the building is determined to be safe.
The Canyons District posted information on what to expect during a school evacuation on their Twitter page.
