WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — While headed westbound along 3500 south near 4000 west, driver West Seal was hit by a man headed in the opposite direction driving a motor home.
“I thought he was going to stop and I tried to avoid but it was too late,” Seal said. “He came right at me and hit me.”
Seal was one of four drivers hit by the suspect who West Valley City police said they were still looking for Monday night.
Investigators do not know why the man came into oncoming traffic.
“For some unknown reason he crosses into westbound traffic and drives up on the sidewalk,” said Lt. Justin Wyckoff with the West Valley City Police Department. “Then he abandoned his RV over in the parking lot.”
Police said they canvassed the immediate area but were not able to find the driver. They also collected surveillance video from businesses in the area to help in their investigation.
No one was injured. Officers impounded the motor home and are investigating who owns it as well as who was driving it.
