Dramatic Video Shows Police Chase Ending In Crash And Hail Of Gunfire

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — New dramatic and intense body cam video is released by the Salt Lake City Police Department from the shooting rampage that unfolded on the streets of Salt Lake nearly two weeks ago.
Police also released three of the 65, 911 calls that they received in less than 20 minutes.
The chase initially started with two armed robberies at convenient stores, but Salt Lake police did not get involved until it came into their city and the first 911 call came in at 10:42 at 500 South and 150 West.
“Oh so scary,” said the caller to the dispatcher. “There’s was somebody just shooting at the Sheraton Inn. I saw the gun, I saw him shooting. Oh my gosh.”
More calls came pouring in talking about bullets flying everywhere.

“A man just fired an automatic weapon that is hitting the city and county building (IN) a white pick up truck,” said a another caller. “I had to dodge my car out of the way.”
Body cam video shows officers chasing the suspect down State Street and also ramming his truck at the intersection of 3300 South and State Street.
“There’s the truck, there’s the truck go up, go up,” you could hear one of the officers saying as they go to ram the truck. “hit him, hit him.”
You can hear the police car then hit the truck.
The driver of the truck, Harold Vincent Robinson, 37, then crashed into a business and police open fire killing him.
Video also showed several incidents where the suspect almost ran into pedestrians. Police say they are very fortunate no one was injured or killed.
