Police Arrest Man Connected To Mother’s Day Shooting

BLUFFDALE, Utah – Police say they have arrested a landscaper who is accused of shooting one of his customers and then evading authorities for more than a month.
Authorities said Ryan Nolan Holladay, 36, drove to the home of one of his customers and shot him during an argument on Mother’s Day. The victim survived.
“Holladay made great efforts to avoid apprehension, even leaving the state for a period of time,” according to a statement issued by the Saratoga Springs/Bluffdale Police Department. “… Over the last month agents and officers of (the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team) worked the case to track and facilitate apprehension of the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident on the evening of June 20, 2019 and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on the no bail warrant issued with numerous felony charges relating to the shooting.”
The victim’s wife said the man had paid Holladay upfront for landscaping work that didn’t get done, and the two were scheduled for mediation when the shooting happened.
