FIREWATCH: 3 Active Wildfires Currently Burning In Utah

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Crews are battling three wildfires burning in Utah right now, one of which was human-caused.
A wet spring has resulted in an abundance of fuels. A red flag warning was issued for the state on Tuesday, although temperatures are expected to dip slightly Wednesday after a weak cold front crossed northern and central Utah, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS said the warming trend will return Thursday.
Radio Hill Fire
The Radio Hill Fire, located in Box Elder County, is the largest of three fires, burning at approximately 2,300 acres. Crews have it 62% contained as of Wednesday morning. Officials said it was started by lightning.

Skull Flat Fire
Also lightning-caused, the Skull Flat Fire in Beaver County has burned a little more than 1,600 acres and is 75% contained. The Skull Flat Fire has been burning for about a month.

Round Peak Fire
Caused by a campfire that got out of control, the Round Peak Fire is burning in Utah County just east of Springville. Officials said it has been mapped at nearly 300 acres and is 5% contained.
