2 Meteor Showers To Put On Show Monday Night

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Look to the skies July 29 – 30 when not one but two meter showers will be lighting up the night sky.
According to the American Meteor Society, the Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids are both currently active, and they’ll both have peak moments Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The Delta Aquariids will appear in the southern. The Alpha Capricornids can be seen in the center of the night sky.
While the Alpah Captricornids only produces about five meteors per hour, those meteors are notable for being bright fireballs, according to the AMS.
The Perseids meteor shower is also currently active, although its next peak night is not until Aug. 12.
