Police Locate Endangered Runaway Teen

UPDATE: Police have located 13-year-old Deija Pena. She was reunited with her family Tuesday night. Authorities said no further details are being released in the case.

ROY, Utah – Police have located a 13-year-old girl they considered an endangered runaway.
Deija Pena was believed to be staying in the Weber or Davis County area, but police said a recent location history of her phone indicated she may have been in the Millcreek area of Salt Lake County.
Deija has been located and is currently being reunited with family. Thank you for the calls and tips to @RoyCityPD. Because of her age no other details are being released in this case.

Authorities said Pena has mental disabilities and she may have been under the influence of illicit narcotics.
She was described as a 5-foot-2 Hispanic female with brown hair and eyes and weighs approximately 135 lbs.
Pena was last seen wearing a black shirt with white shoes and jeans with holes in them.
Authorities said she ran away from her home after Roy City Police officers were called by Pena’s mother to remove an unknown male from their home Monday morning.
The male fled before officers arrived at the home.
Pena identified the male as a 16-year-old, possibly named Cody, then ran away after officers left.
Police said Pena does not frequent the Millcreek area and this behavior is not normal for her.
