WASHINGTON D.C. — Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney marched with protesters against police brutality Sunday in the wake of the death of George Floyd in front of the White House.
“We need a voice against racism, we need many voices against racism and against brutality, and we need to stand up and say black lives matter,” said Romney.
He posted two photos on Twitter with the caption “Black Lives Matter.”

The march was organized by local D.C. pastors.
Romney posted a photo on social media Saturday showing his own father, George Romney, marching in the civil rights movement in the late 60’s.
“Force alone will not eliminate riots. We must eliminate the problems from which they stem,” the caption read.
