Dugway Experiencing Problems With 911 Calls From Cell Phones

DUGWAY, Utah – Officials with the Dugway Police Department have issued an alert due to a problem with calling 911 from a cell phone at the military installation.
According to a social media post around 9 a.m., 911 calls from a landline will get through, but not from a mobile device.
Officials said people with a need to call for emergency services should do so from a landline if possible. If only a cell phone is available, 911 will be routed through Tooele County and sent back to Dugway police via radio.
Details about what caused the problem were under investigation, and crews were working to fix the issue.
Anyone with a non-emergency situation can go to the dispatch center or go to the police building and use a landline in the lobby.
