School Closures, Delays Due To Storm

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Due to Wednesday’s weather, some schools and districts are altering their schedules. This article will be updated as new information is made available. Refresh for the latest.

The following school districts have schedule changes due to Wednesday’s storm: 

  • Canyons School District – Classes will be held remotely
  • Murray School District – Classes will be held remotely with 2-hour delay

The following individual schools have changes due to Wednesday’s storm.

  • American Academy of Innovation – Classes canceled for the day
  • American Heritage – Classes canceled for the day
  • Blessed Sacrament Catholic School – Classes canceled for the day
  • Carden Memorial School – Classes canceled for the day
  • Dugway School (Tooele County School District) – Classes will start at 10 a.m.
  • Hawthorn Academy (both South and West Jordan campuses) – Classes will start at 10 a.m.
  • Intermountain Christian School – Classes canceled for the day
  • Juan Diego Catholic High Schools – Classes canceled for the day
  • Judge Memorial High School – Classes canceled for the day
  • Layton Christian Academy – Classes will be remote from 7 a.m. – noon.
  • Realms High School – Classes will be held remotely
  • Realms Middle School – Classes will be held remotely
  • Salt Lake Community College – In-person classes canceled until noon
  • St. Francis Xavier School – Classes canceled for the day
  • Summit Academy – Classes will start at 10 a.m.
  • Summit Academy High – Classes will start at 10 a.m.
  • University of Utah – In-person classes canceled until 11 a.m.
  • Waterford School – Classes have been canceled for the day

The following districts and schools are continuing with normal schedules:

  • Alpine School District
  • Cottonwood High School
  • Davis School District
  • Granite School District
  • Jordan School District
  • Kearns High School
  • Ogden School District
  • Salt Lake School District
  • Tooele County School District
  • Utah Valley University
  • Weber State University
