Hurricane Police Seek Suspect Vehicle After Man Hit, Killed In Road

HURRICANE, Utah – Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down a vehicle after a man was reportedly hit and killed in the road.
The incident happened at approximately 1:20 a.m. Sunday on State Street.
According to the Hurricane Police Department, officers responded to a welfare check in the area of 500 North and State Street shortly after 1:15 a.m.
Police were told a man was in the road “acting strangely” and had nearly been hit by a vehicle
As officers were investigating, a 22-year-old man was hit nearby. Hurricane police said the vehicle – a light colored truck or SUV – continued driving south on State Street and didn’t return to the scene.
Responding police attempted life-safe measures. The individual was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased, officials said.
