Garth Brooks Concert Coming To SLC This July

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Seven-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Garth Brooks has announced a July 17 concert that will be held at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 6. Each purchase has a limit of eight tickets and the all-inclusive tickets cost $94.95 each.

Stadium officials said Brooks will be the first solo artist to perform at Rice-Eccles Stadium in 10 years.

U2 performed at the stadium in 2011 as part of their U2360 Tour.

Officials added that ticket buyers assume all COVID-19 risks and current restrictions will apply.

“While Utah’s statewide mask mandate lifted on April 10, 2021, the University of Utah and Rice-Eccles Stadium currently still require use of face coverings. Stadium staff will assist in the implementation and execution of safety protocols and work alongside an on-site medical team that will stand by in the event of an emergency.”

Brooks finished a 3.5-year-long tour with Trisha Yearwood in 2017 that sold over 6 million tickets, making it the biggest North American tour in history and the biggest American tour in the world.

He is the No. 1 selling solo artist in U.S. history, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, with 157 million album sales.
