Driver killed in crash near Tremonton

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — One person has died after a single-vehicle crash near Tremonton.
The incident happened near mile post 379 on Interstate 15 around 7:10 a.m. Saturday.
Officials with the Utah Highway Patrol said a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer was traveling southbound when it went off the road, down an embankment and rolled.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the car, passed away from their injuries.
Officials said troopers are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the crash.
Additional details, including the victim’s identity, have not been released.
