Red Cross pleads for blood donations

The American Red Cross pleads for blood donations as blood supply is at historically low levels. As the supply continues to dwindle, hospitals may be forced to delay care for patients needing blood transfusions for their medical care. Because of this, getting blood donations is essential.

On Tuesday American Red Cross will be offering free Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirts to anyone who donates before Jan. 2 while supplies last.

Those who donate in January will be automatically entered into a drawing for Super Bowl tickets in Los Angeles and a $500 e-gift card. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/SuperBowl.
