Teenage boy dies after crash at Alta Ski Area

ALTA, Utah — Authorities say a 14-year-old boy has died following a collision at the Alta Ski Area.

Emergency personnel responded to the Sugarloaf area just before 10 a.m. Sunday and began life-saving efforts on the boy, who was unconscious.

Authorities later identified the victim as Henry Kendell, of Millcreek, Utah.

Police said Henry was airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Alta Marshal’s Office said the incident is under investigation.

“We extend our sincere condolences to those affected by this tragic event and our thanks to those who responded,” authorities said.
