Man in stable condition after auto-pedestrian crash in Clinton

CLINTON, Utah — A 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital late Friday night after police say he was struck by a car in Clinton.
The crash happened in the area of 2000 N. 2000 West at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Officials with the Clinton City Police Department said the man was crossing the road in an area without a designated crossing when he was hit by a car traveling southbound on 2000 West.
The victim was treated by medical personnel on scene and taken to an area hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition.
Police said the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
“At this time there are no indications of impairment being a factor with the driver of the vehicle,” read a Saturday afternoon Facebook post from the Clinton City Police Department.
Southbound traffic on 2000 West was closed for a time Friday night while authorities investigated.
