Man hit by car while riding scooter in Murray

MURRAY, Utah — A 59-year-old man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after he was hit by a car while riding his motorized scooter.
The crash happened near Winchester Street and State Street in Murray at approximately 7:23 a.m.
Kristin Reardon, public information officer for the Murray Police Department, said the man was crossing the road from the west side to the east side when he was hit by a northbound-moving vehicle.
The rider suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Reardon said the driver has been cooperative with police.
