Utah National Guard Responds to Old Bomb Found in Garage

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah National Guard was called out to a home after an explosive device was found by the homeowners as they were cleaning out their garage.
The Salt Lake Police Department responded first to the home at 1177 W. Picture Drive before calling in the Utah National Guard.
“As of 8:20 p.m. we dispatched three highly-trained explosives ordinance disposal personnel and one vehicle in support of the @slcpd. #AlwaysReady,” the Utah National Guard tweeted out.

This is the bomb they were called out to collect. Salt Lake Police say it has Japanese writing on it. As of 9 p.m. Saturday there were no evacuations being made.
