PAYSON, Utah – Residents on Friday are waking up to a boil order that was put into place overnight after a water main break.
The break happened near 700 North and Arrowhead Trail.
Officials said about 200 homes lost water pressure after the break, but service was restored Friday morning. However, the boil order remained in effect.
The boil order is in place as a precaution only, according to authorities.
“Water is okay for bathing or showering,” according to a Payson Fire Rescue Facebook post. “If your water happens to be discolored it is sediment that was stirred up from turning the water back into the system. Turn your taps on and flush until water clears up.”
Water test results are expected Friday afternoon, officials said.
