Officials Release Images Of Persons Of Interest In Kearns Shooting

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Authorities on Thursday released images of three individuals they’re calling persons of interest from a June 5 homicide in Kearns.
According to a joint statement from Unified Police Department and the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, officials are asking the public for help identifying the people in the photos.
Authorities said John Herman Tonga, 34, of Midvale, was killed Wednesday morning in the area of 4800 South and 4720 West. Another person was injured.
“We don’t know what led to this shooting; we don’t know who did it or why,” said Unified Police Department Sgt. Melody Gray.
