Woman dies after shooting In Millcreek; perpetrator still at large

MILLCREEK, Utah – One woman died after a shooting in Millcreek Wednesday night, authorities said.
The incident happened just after 10 p.m. at a home near 4600 South and 850 East.
The woman was identified as 57-year-old Linda Nemelka.
Officers said when they arrived, they found Nemelka sitting in a vehicle in the driveway of a home. She had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
She was transported to the hospital where she later died.
Police said the woman does not live in the area and had been visiting a friend for dinner.
Witnesses told police that a dark-colored SUV was seen leaving the scene.
Police said the perpetrator is still at large, and they don’t believe that person is in the area.
