Youth Speakers Address Global General Conference Audience

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Two youth speakers from Provo, Utah, addressed a global audience during the special Saturday evening session of the 190th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Sister Laudy R. Kaouk, a young woman from the Slate Canyon 14th Ward in the Provo Utah Stake, spoke after Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles gave his address.

“No one is perfect and we all experience hardships,” says Laudy Kaouk, a member of the @Ch_JesusChrist Slate Canyon 14th Ward (Spanish), Provo Utah Stake.

Brother Enzo S. Petelo, a priest in the Meadow Wood Ward of the Provo Utah Edgemont Stake then spoke.

According to Tad Walch with the Deseret News, this was the first time youth speakers spoke during a General Conference since April 1983. Newly-called General Authority Seventy Elder Matthew S. Holland, son of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, spoke during that conference.
