SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Dozens of pro-Trump demonstrators showed up at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City Wednesday afternoon.
They started to gather just after 11:00 a.m. Some of the demonstrators were heard calling the Presidential election results fake. Others called the pandemic and the coronavirus fake.
Some people on the scene also shouted anti-Trump remarks.
The crowd has been calm.
A second demonstration is said to start at the Capitol at 3 p.m. That event is expected to be much larger.
It’s a stark contrast to the scene at the U.S. Capitol which was evacuated and is under lockdown after Trump supporters breached security and entered the building.
President Trump tweeted a message urging the demonstrators “to remain peaceful.”
