One Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Logan Canyon

LOGAN, Utah — One man passed away from his injuries after his truck left the road in Logan Canyon, landing upside down in the Logan River.
The incident happened near mile marker 473 on U.S. 89 around 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
Corp. Michael Gordon with the Utah Highway Patrol said a Dodge pickup truck carrying two occupants was traveling westbound when it left the road and rolled down towards the Logan River.
When troopers arrived, they found the car upside down in the water.
Logan Canyon will have some delays due to a car accident. It is unknown at this time how long the delay will be.

The driver was stuck inside the vehicle, while the passenger was able to get out.
Gordon said bystanders were eventually able to pull the driver out, but he passed away from his injuries. The passenger sustained only minor injuries.
A LifeFlight helicopter was called out, but later cancelled, according to Gordon.
Both directions of U.S. 89 in Logan Canyon were temporarily closed due to the crash.
Troopers said they were investigating DUI as a possible factor.
The identities of the driver and passenger have not been released.
