First Soap Box Derby Organized In South Jordan Neighborhood

Apr 25, 2021, 4:03 PM | Updated: 4:42 pm

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — Dozens of South Jordan residents gathered for their first ever soap box derby in the Daybreak neighborhood.

“The white and blue car is the winner,” said the announcer.

About 20 cars raced on Saturday.

The cars were powered completely by gravity.

Some were made from kits, while others were entirely handmade.

Some local businesses even donated car kits to South Jordan schools so they could participate.
