Parleys Canyon Fire Estimated at 1,500 Acres, 0% Contained

PARK CITY, Utah — A day after a swift-moving fire forced evacuations in the Summit Park area of Parleys Canyon, Utah fire officials estimate its size at 1,500 acres, or roughly half their original estimate.

In a Facebook post, Utah Fire Information said 120 personnel remain on the site to continue working to control the fire.

Jordanelle State Park remains closed to the public so firefighters can use the reservoir to fight the fire.

No structures have been lost, and the fire is zero percent contained as of Sunday morning.
