3.8 magnitude earthquake reported near Moab

MOAB, Utah — The Utah Geological Survey reported a 3.8 magnitude earthquake near Moab Tuesday afternoon.
The tremblor happened at 4:12 between Moab and Grand Junction, Colorado.
It happened at a depth of 6.8 km.
There are no immediate reports of damage.
The Utah Geologic Survey said on its website, “Utah has experienced 17 earthquakes greater than magnitude (M) 5.5 since pioneer settlement in 1847, and geologic investigations of our region’s faults indicate a long history of repeated large earthquakes of M 6.5 and greater prior to settlement.”
