National Weather Service Issues Hard Freeze Warning For Upcoming Days

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Enjoy Tuesday’s warmth while you can.
The National Weather Service issued a hard freeze warning for Wednesday – Friday for areas along the Wasatch Front.
Sub-freezing temperatures between 23 – 29 degrees will be felt Wednesday night in areas from Ogden to the Tooele Valley, according to the NWS.

The warning begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday and will last until 10 a.m. Friday.
“Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” according to the NWS.
KSL TV meteorologist Grant Weyman said Tuesday’s temperatures will reach into the 70s, but the numbers will dip dramatically by Friday morning.
St. George will be at around 35 degrees early Friday, while places like Nephi, Price, Vernal and Logan will all be in the upper teens. Richfield could be as cold as 14 degrees, and Salt Lake City is forecasted to be in about the 28-degree range.

In addition to the hard freeze warning, the NWS has issued a wind advisory, with gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. The wind advisory will be in place Wednesday evening.
