Saratoga Springs Walmart Reopens After Police Search Store, Find No Threat

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah – The Saratoga Springs Walmart was evacuated due to a possible bomb threat but nothing was found by police, according to officials with the City of Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga Springs police and the Utah County bomb squad finished their sweep of the store around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to assist with the search.

Staff members are returning to the store and it will reopen to the public shortly, officials said.

Police said they will continue to investigate the threat and track the source of the threat via phone calls to the store.

Saratoga Springs Police Department and the Utah County bomb squad are finished with their sweep of Walmart. Bomb dogs were also brought in as an added measure. Nothing was found.

Walmart staff will return to the store and the store will reopen to the public shortly afterward.
