Utah County Man Hospitalized After Snowmobiling Crash

GARDEN CITY, Utah – A Utah County man was hospitalized with lacerations to his head after a snowmobiling crash in northern Utah, according to Lieutenant Eric Stucki with the Utah State Parks North Region.
Stucki said the man was snowmobiling without a helmet in the Sinks area along the Amazon Trail on Saturday.
The 40-year-old came in contact with a tree and was airlifted to McKay-Dee Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Stucki.
Stucki said officials were able to quickly respond to the incident because they were in the area responding to another incident involving a snowmobile.
A 17-year-old was crossing a road on the snowmobile when he was struck by a truck. The teen suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
