Fire Watch: 7 Active Wildfires Burning In Utah On Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Fire crews on Saturday were working to contain seven active wildfires.
Here’s a look at the progress being made on each fire according to the latest information from Utah Fire Info.
Lava Ridge Fire
The Lava Ridge Fire, located northeast of Ivins in Washington County, was estimated at 125 acres and 20 percent containment around 8:50 p.m. Saturday.
Power lines and a power substation were reportedly being threatened, but no structures were being impacted by the north-moving fire.
The Rocky Mountain power line to the Ledges area was de-energized due to the fire, affecting hundreds of customers.
No evacuations were ordered.
The cause was under investigation.
NEW START

Neffs Fire
The Neffs Fire, which has burned approximately 60 acres, is located about a mile up Neffs Canyon on the north side of Mount Olympus in Salt Lake County.
The lightning-caused fire sparked on Sept. 22 and has been burning on rough terrain.
Officials said it was 62 percent contained as of 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Upper Provo Fire
The Upper Provo Fire has been burning in Wasatch County since July 31. It has burned 480 acres and is 85% contained.
Authorities said this fire was human caused, and the incident is still under investigation.
East Fork Fire
In Duchesne County, the East Fork Fire has been active since Aug. 21. It has burned 69,412 acres and is now 72% contained.
This fire was also caused by lightning.
Ether Hollow Fire
The Either Hollow Fire has burned 849 acres in Utah County. It was caused by target shooting.
Authorities have it 93% contained.
William Fire
Also in Utah County, the William Fire has burned 5,832 acres. It is now 49% contained.
Like the Ether Hollow Fire, this fire was also started by target shooting. It began on Sept. 6.

3 Creeks Fire
The human-caused 3 Creeks Fire has burned 60 acres in Beaver County. It began on Sept. 21, and it is currently 90% contained.
This incident is still under investigation.
