Drive-Thru Flu Shot Event Happening At Maverik Center

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – People love fast food because it’s just that – fast, convenient, requires very little effort on your part.
So take that idea in fast delivery and apply it to your flu shot.
That’s the plan for Smith’s on Saturday because their pharmacists don’t want you to take the flu lightly.
“It hits you like a ton of bricks, and the more important thing is it can cause severe illness and hospitalization and even death,” said pharmacist Jaime Montuoro. “That’s why year after year we promote: You should be getting a flu shot.”
Montuoro said it’s not just about you, though.
It’s about keeping others safe – not infecting others with the virus that can be very serious.
She also said this year the demand they’ve seen has been through the roof, even early in this flu season.
Smith’s Food and Drug is hosting the drive-thru flu shot event at the Maverik Center, 3200 S. Decker Lake Drive, Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
