‘I’m excited but also nervous’: says Utah Jazz fan on Coach Snyder departure

PROVO, Utah – A day of mixed emotions for Utah Jazz fans as Coach Quinn Snyder calls it quits after eight seasons with the team.
“It hurts, it hurts to see him go,” ultimate Jazz fan Albee Bostrom said, who owns Thriftwood in Provo, which sells vintage Jazz gear from the 90s. “When I saw the announcement yesterday, honestly, it broke my heart a little bit, but it made me think did he make the right decision.”
Bostrom and his employees watched the Jazz press conference on Monday morning, where Coach Snyder got emotional about his time here and his decision to step down.

“He seemed genuinely sad,” Warren McDade said, one of Albee’s employees who also considers himself a huge Jazz fan. “Quinn has done a really good job. Always sad to see people go.”
“It’s a bitter-sweet moment. He’s been here for so long. He’s really built up a good team,” Max Wimmer added, another employee and Jazz fan. “Hopefully, something new and better can come from this.”
And it’s that uncertainty that is now on the minds of fans.
Thriftwood owner Albee Bostrom expressed his thoughts of Synder leaving.
“We don’t know what the future is going to look like,” Wimmer said.
“I’m excited but also nervous because you just don’t know what is going to happen,” Bostrom added.
But when all is said and done, it’s all about who can bring the wins.
“Winning solves everything,” McDade said.
