Police say gambling machines, gun, drugs confiscated from Salt Lake business

SALT LAKE CITY — Police arrested two people in connection to an alleged illegal gambling operation in a Salt Lake City business.
A news release said officers also seized four gambling machines, illegal drugs, a large amount of cash, and a loaded gun.
“The SWAT Team safely arrested the business owner, 24-year-old Tyler Miller and 27-year-old Jazmine Sosa,” the release said.
Police launched the investigation on October, 27 after they learned about the machines inside a business at at 1133 South Glendale Drive.
“Undercover detectives went to the business and confirmed the existence and use of the illegal machines,” The release said. “An employee identified as 27-year-old Jazmine Sosa provided change and paid out winnings.”
On November 2 a SWAT team and detectives served a search warrant at the business.
The release said, “Detectives booked both Miller and Sosa into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on one count of Intentionally Providing or Offering to Provide Online Gambling, one count of Gambling Promotion, and Possession of a Gambling Device.”
