Davis County man impaled after falling off ladder

DAVIS COUNTY —A Davis County man was impaled Tuesday night after falling off a ladder while working on his home.

Capt. Travis Nicholson with the South Weber Fire Department said the man fell about 8 feet onto an 18- to 24-inch long pole. It impaled him in the gluteus.

The incident happened at approximately 6 p.m.

Nicholson said the man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
