SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Saturday apparently had a phone call with former President Donald Trump, saying in a tweet the call was “great.”

She tweeted that “the people of this country are absolutely 100% loyal to him” and that “The blood thirsty media and the socialists hate America Democrats are attacking me now just like they always attack President Trump.”

Greene is one of the Republicans in Congress that continue to perpetuate the claim that Trump won the election.

After Greene tweeted about meeting with Trump on Saturday, Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney weighed in, also on Twitter, writing: “Lies of a feather flock together: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s nonsense and the ‘big lie’ of a stolen election.”

In turn, Greene responded, tweeting that Romney “obviously cares nothing about the people’s number one concern,” though she did not elaborate on what the concern is.

Greene has been facing scrutiny lately for her past social media activity, which included liking posts calling for Democrats to be killed, eluding to possibly hanging former President Barack Obama, and suggesting the Las Vegas mass shooting in 2017 and the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018 were both staged.

Recently a video was posted to YouTube showing Greene following David Hogg, a survivor of the Stoneman Douglass shooting, calling him a coward and telling him that she is carrying a gun.
