Man is facing charges for randomly shooting at vehicles on the I-15 last year

NEPHI, Utah – A man accused of randomly shooting at cars on the I-15 in Juab County last year is now in police custody, according to court records.
Utah Highway Patrol Stg. Cameron Roden confirmed to KSL.com that 19-year-old Adam Lloyd Ghenn of Goshen is being charged for this shooting that hit five cars and injured two.
The incident happened on Nov. 30th on the I-15 between Nephi and Scipio around 3:30 A.M., police said.
According to the probable cause statement, Ghenn got a firearm and went to I-15 with the intention to shoot random drivers that morning.
Ghenn shot two times at the first car, hitting the driver’s door and the front fender of the car.
The second car was shot once by Gheen and hit the driver’s side door, shattering the window, according to the statement.
Ghenn shot the third car through the door and grazed the female driver’s chest.
Police said that the fourth vehicle was shot twice with the first bullet hitting the male driver in the shoulder and the second bullet hitting his trailer.
The man needed medical attention at a nearby hospital.
And the fifth car was shot once with the bullet hitting the car’s side door.
Witnesses at the time told police that the suspect vehicle was a light-colored SUV that went southbound after the shooting.
Ghenn is facing:
- seven charges of felony discharge of a firearm,
- one charge of possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault, and
- five charges of criminal mischief threatening human life
It’s currently unknown how police found Ghenn and linked him to this shooting.
