1 dead in crash on Provo Center Street onramp

PROVO, Utah — One person has died in a crash that temporarily closed the Provo Center Street onramp to southbound Interstate 15 Wednesday morning.
The driver was identified by Provo police as Patasha Adams, 42, of Herriman City.
At approximately 2:23 p.m. Provo police responded to the roll-over crash on the I-15 on/off ramp at Center Street, Provo.
Adams left the freeway, headed toward the eastbound ramp but did not make the turn. The car struck the barrier which launched it and caused it to roll down an embankment towards the freeway. Adams was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the rollover and died on scene.
The southbound ramp was closed until 5:40 a.m. as officers and the department’s Accident Investigation Team investigated the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
